課程概述

This course indroduces the basics of designing chemical process. Students will learn the priciples of chemical processes, designing the unit/process using simulation software, performing economic evaluation. Process safety, optimization, and plant-wide control will also be covered.  

課程目標
1. Be able to rigorously design a chemical process .
2. Be able to evaluate a chemical process.
3. Be able to use analyze a chemical process using simulation software.  
課程要求
Prior to taking this course, students need to learn the following (but not limit to) chemical enineering core courses: material and energy balance, physical chemistry, unit operation, transport phenomena, reaction engineering.
